So Much Can Happen in Six Years

Columbus Day has negative connotations for many (when it has any connotations at all, except for maybe mattress sales or a random day off of work) but for me, it's one of the best days of the year. Because, Columbus Day 2005 - Monday, October 10, exactly six years ago today - was the beautiful fall day where I went to a local coffee shop for a blind date. I agreed to a blind date partly to have a story to tell... and the ironic thing is that I've never told it here. The short version is that an hour or so later, I walked out with the man who would later become my husband.

Happy anniversary, Sweetheart. I hope that the next time there's a Monday, October 10, you won't spend it at home on the couch with a cold.
