I'm feeling a little cosy in my humble abode tonight. Candles and soft music and reading fic for the first time in a long while… Waiting for youngest sis to come by, she's visiting friends nearby, but they where apparently not night owls like us, and she wanted to come around midnight for a Buffy session, or maybe the umpteenth reviewing of Redeye. (Mmmm, Cillian, we're all mad about the boy.)
I saw What Lies Beneath with Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford on TV tonight. I'm quite cool about scary movies nowadays. It's not like when I had to take a cab in the middle of the night to my best friend after watching Children of the Corn. I didn’t think it was a good movie, on the contrary, even then. But cable and overexposure have hardened me… the last time I got really scared was when I saw the Japanese Ring, ages ago. But that might have been unfamiliarity with that particular genre. Japanese horror is mostly strange, all slithering pale women with long hair and then everybody screams and dies of the horror.
