I can't quite believe someone actually sat down and worked this out. Oh dear, as I write that though, a strange recollection is surfacing in my mind - of pausing and playing and pausing again and figuring out all the 'words' in that chanting song from Star Wars... oh dear. On with the Withnail!
Withnail & I Drinking Game
The rules for the Withnail and I drinking game are very simple… just match Withnail drink-for-drink...
Per person, you will require:
• Gin
• Cider
• Ale
• Sherry
• Whisky
• Red Wine
Optional:
• 1 bottle lighter fluid (You’re allowed to substitute this for vinegar… this is what they did to Richard E Grant to the film the vomiting scene...)
• 1 Camberwell Carrot

Some kind soul at www.nationmaster.com has even gone to the effort of compiling a Withnail and I drinking game list - detailing precisely what passes Withnail lips throughout the film.
