Of all the superhero films, the Spiderman series is the best so far :)
I highly enjoyed the film, too. I know of venom from an old Super NES video game, and I thought he was AWESOME, but I also enjoyed the movie, so I guess I don't know that much about Venom :P The only thing I didn't like was MJ's moodiness. Yeah, I can understand it, 'cause she lost her job and all, but still...wah wah, STFU you jealous emo chick!!!! Also, when did Spidey have the time and the money to make a second, black spidey suit?
lol, I honestly don't remember! You play spiderman in the beginning, beating up a whole slew of people as you move down the street, encountering super villain bosses, occassionally summoning the help of other marvel comic super heroes. Later on, spiderman and venom are forced to work together and you can either play spiderman or venom at that point. It was so long ago, I don't remember too much of it.
Oh, I thought the black suit was just the symbiote covering his original suit, and then he just happened to keep an extra red-and-blue one in his closet. You know, in case he didn't have time to do his laundry. XD
ya know, that makes sense! All I knew was that the gooky alien stuff absorbed into the suit peter was currently wearing, then all of a sudden he has two suits. Your explanation definately makes sense *nod-nod*
It's too bad these superhero movies are so hit-and-miss though. For every good one, there are at least two others that suck. Some of them sound so bad I don't even see them, like Fantastic Four, X-Men 3, Superman Returns, and Daredevil.
If The Dark Knight turns out to be as good as Batman Begins, though, then the new Batman series is going to give Spidey a run for its money.
I have hopes for the new Hulk movie too. The Hulk has definite potential for a successful franchise. I hope they can get away from the original movie, which I thought was awful. Iron Man looks like it could be promising, too.
I didn't even see Batman Begins, and I am so excited for The Dark Knight I could wet myself. It has nothing to do with Heath Ledger and Maggie Gyllenhaal, both favorite actors of mine, being in the movie together. Nuh uh.
super hero movies these days, in general, are a lot better than they used to be. I really enjoy the spiderman franchise and the x-men franchise (but I disliked the original x-men, which may be why I like the movies so much better). Daredevil was kinda cheesy, fantastic 4 wasn't too bad, and superman returns wasn't nearly as good as everyone made it out to be. Batman begins was good, but not too high on my list for the same reason that a lot of people didn't like spiderman 3--the villain. I adore Ra's al Ghul, and he is, by far, my most favorite of the batman super villains. I felt that the movie could have done better with him *sigh* But that's just me, meh.
I know what you mean, though, about the cheesy previews! It is why I still haven't seen the new teenage mutant ninja turtles movie.
Ra's al Ghul was always a villain I never really got. Of course, I only knew him from the animated series as a kid, so it's not like I had any sort of expectations of what he should be like. But I liked him in the movie. And I loved what they did with Scarecrow, who was always a lame villain to me. Amazing what casting Cillian Murphy can do. ;)
Ugh, those cheesy previews don't do these movies any favors. I was thinking maybe I should give Fantastic Four a chance, but then the sequel preview just looked SO bad. Even the hair and costumes don't look realistic, the most basic stuff. You're telling me they couldn't get Jessica Alba a wig and colored contacts that don't make her look freakish? What, not in their budget? XD
With TMNT, here's the thing. Yes, the previews were horrible. But if you don't mind a subpar plot, the other stuff in the movie is really enjoyable. The characters and relationships in the movie are all good, and it has some genuinely funny moments. And one particularly kickass fight scene. ;)

Batman Begins is really good though. Do yourself a favor and see it before TDK comes out, k? ^^
