....I kind of accidentally discharged my pepper spray at a co-worker in the office.

A few weeks ago, J gave me a cute little pink pepper spray canister, because he was getting a little worried about me walking around the college campus at night. To be honest, I didn't take it too seriously....it's small and pink, so how much damage could it reasonably do, right?

Fast forward to day before yesterday in my office, round-a-bouts 4:30. A couple co-workers were just kinda hanging out, talking [have I mentioned before that the great dynamic between me and the boys I sit with makes other people want to come in constantly? It's like an employee lounge in there.] So anyway! My co-worker P makes a joke, to which I make some snarky retort, to which he says" OH! Am I about to get pepper sprayed, now?" <-- knowing I had the spray.

So I sprayed it at him. HONESTLY, I REALLY thought it would just pfft out a little and I'd cough, and that'd be the end of it.

Oh no. Just FYI, that stuff is made to take down full grown bad guys. One light press from my fingers catapulted a stream of the vile stuff fully 8 feet away. Luckily P dodged, and I took my finger off the trigger, or it would have been a catastrophe. Even hitting the wall a few feet beside his head, P's eyes started swelling, he began coughing, and had to leave the room. I cleaned up the mess, and as I was wiping it up, my throat started burning and my chest felt tight.

This kind of irresponsibility with non-lethal weapons is the reason J told me he definitely will not buy me a taser. *sigh*. I must get my hands on one!

work, j, pandermonium
