I got my first non-fic pieces published in the ever awesome Meat For Tea. Go order one or something and you can see my typos and grammatical errors. Why is it I never see those fuckers until they're on the printed page...burnished into print for posterity? So, the two pieces do show up in earlier (draftier) form on this very live journal.
The first, "The Hotel California Code" is my recollection of a feverish day when I was haunted by recurring mentions of "Hotel California." I thought I was posessed. I mean, I am posessed, but...you know what I mean.
The second, "Wherein our Hero Decides she Needs a New Bar." Is the infamous Lasagna-Pole-Dancer saga of Mother's Day 2010. WOOOOO! I still want to buy that place. It was horrible. HORRIBLE...and perfect and horrible.
In semi-related news: Karoke on Sunday, if you are in the Aiken area...which none of you are. So, nevermind. You are going to miss a raucous version of Queen's "Someone to Love" by yours truly.
Multi-genre and an 'oke goddess? Yes, baby, all this and more...all this and more!
