It's 8:15 am and I'm stuck watching the main desk, so I guess it's time for my obligatory "look! i went somoewhere!" post. although i don't remember ami posting after canada. but that's neither here nor there.

anyway, we left after i got back from work on friday, which wasn't until 6:40, so we got to st. louis around 12:30 am. my aunt and uncle usually go to bed around 10. it was a stretch for them. saturday morning we got uup around 8:30 to go to the "new" mall. it was finished a while ago, but i hadn't been yet. and oh,look. this was st. louis's tax-free weekend. lucky me. i bought a shirt at the banana republic outlet store which i later realized looks not so great. i don't know what to do with it now. i got a purple skirt and a couple other things. but i also had to go to a second mall. after that we had lunch at a little restaurant called diamond anna's. it's a place that's very my aunt. after that i called josh, a guy from housestaff who moved to st. louis after hs graduation and doesn't know a lot of people there. and by a lot i mean almost any. we agreed to hang out later that night. i went over to my other aunt and uncle's house for a while to visit and then my aunt took me for a manicure, which i promply ruined later that night. i met josh at wash u. we had to pick a place we both could get to since we were kinda far apart and neither knew the city that well. my aunts and uncles think it's a sketchy area around there, but it looked fine to me. i went to the batting cages with josh and didn't wear batting gloves, so my hands are still destroyed. it looks like i've been playing with razor blades. josh and i also went to strassenfest, this german carnival thing downtown. there wasn't much german about it, but that's okay. it took us forever to find since we didn't know where it was exactly or our way around, so we only got one ride on the swings in. i have two tickets left. oh well. then i went back to my aunt's hoouse. sunday morning a bunch of relatives went to the revolving restaurant that's next to the new busch stadium. it was really cool and ridiculously expensive. probably won't be doing that again anytime soon. then went to my cousin's new house, back to my aunt's, and then home. short trip, but good.

as expected, though, i would have been happier if my brother hadn't come. for several reasons. oh well. i guess it wasn't an option.

and now i have a very worky week ahead of me. oh, good.
