Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Our temperature has dropped dramatically here over the last few days. It's crazy. I went from wearing tank tops and skirts everyday to having to put on a pair of jeans and a sweater. Obviously, we're not in danger of any snow or anything, but hey, a girl can dream for a few flurries for Christmas, can't she?

I even had to wear a sweater in to work the other day. That's right, work. I was so relieved to get a phone call asking me to come in for orientation. I don't have a schedule yet though, I have to call about that today, but still, it was exciting. Though I still feel like I'm going in blind since orientation was only a couple of hours. And, that's all I can say about that, really, because, according to the company policy, you aren't supposed to say anything about the company if you write in a blog. Which is understandable.

I started reading The Hunger Games Trilogy, I've got the first two down, and I completely understand why so many teenagers are enthralled with the series. It's so interesting, and so good. I've got reviews going for Portrait though, I so I won't say too much about that.

I did finish reading Eclipse the other night though too. My mom checked out all of the Twilight books from the library, deciding that with no television, she wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. I'm still not convinced. I can't help it. They're too... cheesy. People don't talk like that. And Stephenie Meyer's writing is just atrocious. Though, it's gotten better in the third book. I'm going to force myself to get through New Moon though too. I feel like I have to since I started reading. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to start something if I can't finish.

And with those, I think I've surpassed 100 books this year, which is insane to me. How can one person read that much? It's just... it seems impossible, especially considering the length of some of those. And it makes me feel like I need a life. Seriously.

books, real life
