(no subject)
it's been almost seven months since I updated last
I've been working on a project in lab so that we can write an abstract and submit it to the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology so hopefully I can have a poster at their conference in November (in LAS VEGAS!!), which will help me in my grad school applications (which I will be starting in about 6 months...terrifying) and will give me some experience with talking to people about what I do. I really need to finish the preliminary research this week because the abstract is due May 10th, so I've been busy with that.
I've been getting excellent grades in all of my classes except for physics (but I'm trying and doing my best so I guess that's what counts). idk I haven't been doing much else with my life recently. sometimes it bums me out but it's not like my life is shitty or anything so I try not to feel too bad about it.
in talking with a few of my friends, three of us realized that we all want to work in labs at UC Berkeley for grad school (different professors, of course) and another wants to work at a company in San Francisco, so we have big dreams of living together in San Francisco. I don't know how likely this is, but it would be lovely to see it pan out.
in any case, quite a few of my friends are staying here this summer for research and whatnot, so this summer should be awesome.
