Long day
Friday's are so freakin' slow at the UA. I hate it. I especially hate being at work while I'm hurting. But I always hurt, so if I came in when I didn't hurt, I'd never work. Which is almost the case. I've been averaging about 2-3 days of work a week. Not good for the paycheck. But hey, when has my financial situation been good lately? I've even signed up for these stupid survey companies to try to earn some extra $$.
So I found out Wed. I have IC (interstitial cystitis). The cystoscopy I had was painful and then they scheduled a potassium test to check for sure that I have IC. You'd think a potassium test would be blood work, right. WRONG. It's where the put a solution of potassium into your bladder to see how badly it hurts. Give me a break already! They've started me on two new prescriptions. Yea, more pills. Let's see, so I'll be taking 10 pills a day, not counting the chewable calcium. Great.
I did get to have a little bit of fun lately. I dragged Zane to the Miss Arkansas pageant in Hot Springs a couple of weekends ago. We stayed at the Majestic.
Don't let the picture fool you. We were very disappointed with our room. They told us, "We don't sell our better rooms through Expedia." Luckily, the massage we had was FABULOUS! We had a thermal mineral water whirlpool bath and hot packs, and then a 20 minute Swedish massage. Very relaxing.
We ate a lot of great food and did some fun shopping downtown. Zane didn't even mind the pageant. Especially since they sold beer at the convention center it was held in.

Zane's in Wyoming for a week and a half. He and a bunch of his friends have been going up there for years to hike and backpack in the mountains. I miss him already!
My mom's coming up tomorrow to stay w/me for a while. Yea. I have a colonoscopy on Monday, so she's taking me to that and taking care of me afterwards. Fun, fun!
I'm also told my pseudo-friend Jess that I'd give her a call. For those of you who don't recall, I used to be best friends w/her, until she ditched me to shag a guy and left me w/some guy I'd never met in Conway. We haven't seen each other in 5 months and have only chit chatted every once in a while since the incident. I'll let you know how it goes.
Hopefully I'll get to have some fun this weekend!
