(no subject)
I've read quite a bit in the last three days from my GRE Lit prep list. This is my progress since Wednesday:
10 cantos of Dante's "Inferno"
"The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin
"The Minister's Black Veil" by Nathaniel Hawthorne
"Everyday Use" by Alice Walker
8 chapters of Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises"
4 more chapters of Flannery O'Connor's "Wise Blood"
Various poetry by Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Browning, Robert Frost, etc
The O'Connor book actually isn't on the GRE reading list, but I'm reading it anyway since I've worked my way through so many of her short stories. Once I finish the novel I want to finish the rest of her Complete Short Stories so I can say I've officially read *all* of Flannery O'Connor's fiction.
I also have to finish "Out of Africa" and "Madame Bovary" which have been put on hold.
