Well today I'm 37 weeks pregnant, which is considered full term, even though it's still three weeks from my due date. Basically, if Luke was born from this point forward, all his organs and body parts would be basically fully formed and able to function on their own. I like when I hit this point in pregnancy, because then I don't have to worry about having a premie baby, which even in today's medically advanced world can mean days or weeks in the NICU if born before 37 weeks.
I feel like a timer is ticking in my ear. To think that in the next three weeks I'm going to push a baby out of my womb and into this world is incredible! It seems surreal in some ways. I have so much to still get done before he comes, but I've come to accept that whatever doesn't get done before hand I can do after. I just have to accept that I'm working full time and taking care of two other kids, so not everything will get done. But that's ok. I'll have some help from my mom and brother and James after Luke comes, so I'll get everything done....just gotta make a list so I don't forget anything.
One thing I need to do soon is register Julia for kindergarden next year. Where we live, we get a choice of five elementary schools where she can go. Well obviously we want her to keep going to the one she's going to now since it's so close, so I need to put my preference in as soon as I can to have a better chance of her going to that school. I did read that those that live within 2 miles of a school get preference for that school if they want it. Makes sense. And we live like 1/4 mile from the school. But I still need to remember to register her!
I'm going to pack my hospital bags tonight. Was going to yesterday, but was too tired. It's exciting! Luke's grand debut into this world is right around the corner!
