many thanks to killabeez for the Twin Peaks tapes! I think I'm on episode ten and wondering how this show ever got to run for over twebty episodes. It's is DAMN bizarre, and I'm loving every minute of it

Thanks. To be fair, I have rwad more than several WW fics in which women do have equal rights. It is the few I have read (and cammot for the life of me remember the names of now, dammit!) in which Imperio and Crucio are integrated into the binding that made me think of this. Perhaps it was Cloak of Courage, or Hinge of Fate, I don't remember. Then again, I read a great many over the past week.
This is not to say that I didn't like those stories, but I thought that there had to be an alternative to that particular set up. Like I sad in the end, one has to first buy into the idea that the Ministry would pass such a law.
As far as marrying Ron, I've always thought of itin the sense that the marriage would be convenient for them both as far as the law is concerned, but that Ron might be a little more ken on the idea than Hermione. Or that Hermione would agree to such an arrangement out of practicality, but would come to regret it for her own reasons, and not because Weasley is a git to her or anything.
Wow, amazing. I could see the Ministry doing such a thing, mostly because of that idiot Fudge. And Hermione taking extreme measures when pushed into a corner. Of course, I'm with you, I'd just start killing every man til they got me.
Where are these other stories you speak of? I must read more about this idea.
Hrm. I'm at work now, but I'll dig up urls when I get home. I first started to see all these notations in Disclaimers sayuing "Written for the WIKTT Marriage Challenge" and I read on. It started in the Dark Sarcasm Library, and then I read a bunch on ::choke:: Lord and Lady Snape Site (secretly, I think the graphic where Snape is Kissing adult Hermione rilly rilly hott.)
Hee. That always makes me think of Star Trek. Climb the hills of Mount Salinas, Jim. Spock! Pull my finger!
Thank you for reading this! I agree that you're right about the themes. I'm constantly pissed with the Ministry throughout the books, especially the Educational measures in the fifth book, but that is intended, I'm sure.
That was FANTASTIC. I can't stand to read the answers to that challenge, however well they may be written, because the very concept pisses me off, much less the idea that Hermione would go with it at all. This was just... magnificent beyond words.
