Heinlein was big on polyandry and polyamory, the more the merrier. I'm kind of surprised it doesn't surface more often in fics. Extended families make even more sense in the Immortal universes where some partners are nonfertile. Where are those Duncan/Methos/Amanda/Joe/Rachel/Anne/Nick fics?
Woah. That's a lot of poly there. I guess if I had to create a poly household in HL, it would be Methos/Duncan/Richie/Amanda/Michelle. But that dynamic would be odd, because they would only set up house for so long, since they're Immortal. I don't see any of them staying around for more than five years, tops.
