keeping up with the summer updates...
so today was my first day off in a looong time! i deliberately scheduled it this way because i had my walnut street interview @ 5... and guess what everyone??? I GOT THE JOB! i will be working at the walnut street theatre july 11-aug 7 as the administrative intern for the education program and camp walnut! i will be helping the education staff and learning all of their jobs plus interacting with the kids and parents of the camp and working as their secretary/"school nurse"/gopher. i am so excited. i can't wait to be working down there in a real professional theatre with like a million different programs going on at once! and the interview went GREAT!!! i walked in and there was jen debruin! she works in the education office there!!! and the whole education staff was like "oh boy it's another wagner student!" hahaha then i met everyone and did the interview and they offered me a $200.00 stipend! which was very nice since the internship us unpaid. so 200 bucks for a 4 week gig that is so much fun, looks great on my resume, AND lets me meet new professionals in my field... pretty good if you ask me.
now all i have to do is find some kind of hostess/waitress job to do on the side... i really wanna work at the cosi that is right near the walnut street theatre... that would be perfect (plus they give all their employees all the free coffee they can drink!!!!!!!)
the diet is going ok. (or "lifestyle change" as i call it). im not doing anything crazy at all, just eating lots of fruit and veggies, cutting down on the carbs and eating more protein...and im doin my crunches everyday. hopefully walking to and from the subway will also be good exercise. then i am giving myself 1 day off a week to eat whatever i want, within reason, but only if i have been really good that week and i earned it. i think this might work. and i am so ambitious about this that i got my parents to do it with me so we are filling the house with all good healthy food. hooray!!! i feel like this COULD be a good summer... i hope it is. i'm missing my wag kids like CRAZY though so please call me, IM me, or update ur LJ so i know what u r up to!!! love to all.
