"Long Time No See"
JOB: I finally landed a job at a local company. A few people I know work there, two_blue and ray_whitney being two. It's an IT job, money's nothing to brag about but not insulting. Best job spec I've seen for a job for which I got to the interview stage, I just wish the money was better so I could move out.
FA CUP FINAL: Yes, it's been that long since I posted. I didn't cry this time but I didn't manage to get there in the end. Ultimately, with hindsight I am proud that the team showed heart and character in spades and looked the better side. If it wasn't for one of the best midfielders in Europe, we'd have won.
WORLD CUP: I can't get up for it. I am trying to now but Sven ruined it with the England squad he named. I don't want to bang on about it but it boils down to too many gambles. Gambles on players who haven't done it and don't look like doing it, gambles on players carrying injuries. I wanted to watch it and was so up for it, as up for it as I was for Euro 2004 and the last World Cup, where I got to work for 6.30 one morning to see the Cameroon/Republic of Ireland match before we opened.
LAIN: Yes, Iain Liddle, the man who criticised my blog for being "the blog equivalent of the Joy Division" and kind of guilted me into making the blog a little sunnier, doesn't even read the blog anymore. He asked me the other day, "is it still like the Joy Division". What a bastard.
