Mortal Kombat Redemption (part 6)
A private jet lands in a field just outside of New York. The door opens up and Johnny Cage steps out and takes off his sunglasses. From where he stands he can plainly see the portal high above the Statue of Liberty. As he fishes around inside his suit jacket for his phone he notices something strange in the portal. Something slowly moving out of it. A huge floating city with a pyramid in the middle of it. Over the course of 5 full minutes the city makes it's way through the portal. It is hovering above New York, covering about all of it. Cage gets on his phone and calls Jax.
Jax - Hello.
Cage - Jax, Johnny here. What the hell is going on?
Jax - Not sure.
Cage - What is that above the city?
Jax - It is the main city of Order Realm, Sedo. I have no clue as to what it is doing here. Where are you?
Cage - Just outside New York. My pilot wouldn't go near the city with the portal there. Can't say I blame him now.
Jax - Get here as soon as you can, there is more going on that you need to know. And Johnny.
Cage - Yeah.
Jax - Good to have you here.
Cage snaps his fingers and the back of the jet opens up and a jet black Hummer rolls out. Cage gets in the car and speeds off towards the city.
Jax and Sonya wait and watch the monitors in their headquaters with baited breath. Sonya stares more at the portal in the ocean than the one that just spewed forth Sedo. She punches a few buttons and the picture zooms in. In the fog 5 huge dragon shaped boats come sailing out. Sonya turns on her heel and briskly walks over to a pannel on the wall. She opens it up and gazes up at the weapon selection before her. Jax turns around in his chair.
Jax - What is going on?
Sonya - An Outworld fleet just sailed through the portal in the ocean. I am guessing it isn't a scout crew either. The boats are too big. Get hold off all agents around the world tell them to get here as quick as they can.
Jax - Should I activate Cyrax?
Sonya - Not yet. But alert the Army, we will probably need their help on this.
Jax - Right on it.
Sonya - I am heading down to the harbor to get a better look.
Kintaro stands up on his battleship and serveys the grand city of New York laid out before him. His eyes turn upward to Sedo just hanging there in the air. A wicked smile creeps arcoss him fanged mouth. Kano and Kabal come out of the cabin looking up at Sedo.
Kano - This gonna be a problem with them?
Kintaro - No.
Kano - What if the Knights of Order get involved?
Kintaro - Let them. I will personally welcome it. Kill two birds with one stone. Have the catapult ships made it through yet?
Kabal - The first two are as we speak.
Kintaro - Anchor here and wait for them all to come through. Have them ready the first wave of attack spheres.
Kabal - Yes sir.
High atop the Empire State building Raiden watches over the chaos starting to unfold. Sitting down trying to catch his breathe is Shujinko.
Raiden - You alright?
Shujinko - That took more out of me than I thought.
Raiden - Why did you bring Sedo here?
Shujinko - Becasue I knew they would have no tolerance for anything in Earthrealm. Plus we get to watch A war take place here.
Raiden - What?
Shujinko - An unexpected perk. It seems Outworld has sent a fleet of battleships through the portal I made for them. It took them long enough to notice. Enough rest. Chaos Realm should be here for this as well. Now where to pull them through.
Sonya brings her bike to stop at the harbor and looks through binoculars at the fleet. She notices it has stopped and about 7 more boats have come up along side of the main 5. Sonya then spots the new ships have giant catpults on them. As her gaze zooms in on these new ships she sees the Shokan crew loading in huge metal spheres into the catapults. In unison all 7 catapults fire launching the balls into the city. The huge metal orbs smash into buildings ripping them apart in the process. One of orbs smashes into the middle of a busy street crushing a taxi cab in the process. Sonya mounts her motorcycle and speeds off towards the crash sites. She gets to the site in the middle of the street not a second too soon. Four cracks appear in the orb and high powered steam shoots out of them. The orb then unfolds, standing in the middle of it are 8 Sektor robots and an armored Shokan. The robots instantly go to work shooting anything that moves. Destroying cars, setting store fronts on fire, and killing people trying to run. The massive Shokan picks up a taxi and hurls it into the 5th floor of a near by building. Around the corner comes an Army tank, it stops once it gets into the middle of the street. The turrent turns around and takes it sight on the Shokan. He just lets out a loud roar as the tank fires. The blast knocks the four armed warrior back into a building. A few cheers are heard comming from inside the tank, but the quickly stop once the Shokan is seen getting up. He starts charging towards the tank, but Sonya catches his attention with a shot from her pistol that glances off his shoulder. One of the Sketors dashes up to the tank and pulls out his engery sword and slices into the tank. Shots fire from inside at the robot, he shurgs them off and jumps in. A second later a geyser of blood streams up out of it. Sonya hops off her bike and swings it around and hurls it towards the Shokan. The motorcycle smashes up against his massive chest, not even slowing him down.
Two blocks away a black hummer comes barreling in at full speed smashing through abbandoned cars. A Sketor turns just into to get rundown and smashed into a thousand bits. The hummer then picks up more speed as it nears the Shokan warrior getting closer to Sonya. The Shokan turns to see the hummer just seconds before it hits him. The four armed monster braces himself as the car slams into him. He gets pushed back as all four arms hold steady to the car, pavement gets ripped up around his ankles as he slowly brings the car to a stop. The windsheild then gets kicked out from the inside and Johnny Cage slides out onto the hood. He adjusts his tie and flashes his pearly whites. Then Cage uses his signature Shadow Kick and plants his foot right in the Shokan's face. The kick snaps his neck completely back, breaking it the process. Cage then hops off the car and walks over to Sonya.
Cage - Miss me?
Sonya - Mighty full of yourself aren't we?
Cage - Well you know, saved the girl. Figured I would at least get a kiss.
Sonya - This isn't a movie.
Cage - Your point?
Sonya - We got work to do. Incomming!
Another sphere lands a few blocks ahead of where the last one landed. This time when it opens up the Sketor robots file out and standing in the middle of them is Kano.
Cage - We need to get some help. Sonya ... you alright?
Sonya - He ... he ... he ...
Cage - What the hell is he doing here!
Kano smiles once he see Sonya and Cage and licks the blade of his knife causing his tounge to bleed.
Kano - Miss me?
Cage - Sonya we need to move, we need help and lots of it.
Sonya - He ... he ... he ...
Cage picks Sonya up and shoves her into his hummer. Just before he gets in he flips Kano off and drives off down the street.
