Mortal Kombat Redemption (part 5)
Sonya pulls into an underground parking garage and slides off her bike. She walks into the makeshift headquaters that the Interdimensional Task Force has set up. Jax is on the radio trying to get ahold of Stryker. She sits down and turns on the television.
Reporter - More strange disturbance rock New York. Now not only is there a huge ... well what can be best described as a hole in the sky above the Statue of Liberty, the ever expanding one in the Atlantic Ocean, now this. A lightning storm that seems to be focused on the top of the Empire State Building. We will keep you posted as more new becomes available.
Jax looks up and catches the last bit of the news clip.
Jax - Raiden?
Sonya - I think so.
Jax - Is he trying to close the portals?
Sonya - I'm not sure. Something bothers me about him being here.
Jax - What?
Sonya - Why didn't he try and contact us? Why is more focused on the Empire State Building than anything else?
Jax - You aren't going up there are you?
Sonya - I might have to. He might be the only one with the answers as to what is going on.
Back in Outworld at the shores near Queen Sindel's castle a legion of oar opperated battleships land. The plank comes down off the biggest of the ships and several armored Shokan's. They form two lines once they have gotten off the boat. The last one off, is even more armored than the others and is wearing a bone helmet. He turns and looks around before taking off the helm with his lower arms. General Kintaro narrows his eyes and waves for his troops to follow as they make their way to the Queen's Castle.
Inside the throne room Sindel is sitting with some royal advisors trying to figure out what their next move should be in reguards to the Tarkatan Horde being gone and the mysterious portal. She is interupted as a servant enters the room.
Servant - My Queen you have a visitor.
Sindel - Who?
Servant - General Kintaro my lady.
Sindel - What?! Here! Has he stated any intentions?
Servant - No my queen. Other than he has come on a mission of peace not war.
Advisor - We she at least see what he wants. I will go ready Li Mei just in case.
Servant - My queen?
Sindel - I will see him, and him alone ... no troops with him.
Servant - Yes.
Kintaro walks in and kneels before Sindel once he gets about 5 feet from her.
Sindel - What can I do for you General?
Kintaro - News reached me a few days ago about the death of Shao Kahn. Has there been a tomb prepared for him?
Sindel - You are ever loyal to him still?
Kintaro - That I am.
Sindel - No tomb has been or will be prepared, at least not while I am Queen.
Kintaro - May I make a request then?
Sindel - You are free to speak.
Kintaro - I wish to prepare a tomb for him then. I will take his body and make it in my own lands so as not to disturb you.
Sindel - Permission granted, as long as I get something in return.
Kintaro - Yes.
Sindel - Once you leave with his body I want no more threats of advance from you or any of your people on my lands. I have enough to worry about with the Tarkatans.
Kintaro - Understood. Where is his body?
Sindel - It is still in his castle. Where is has been since Shang Tsung and Quan Chi killed him.
Kintaro - Then may I make one more request before I take my leave of you?
Sindel - Continue.
Kintaro - Can myself and my troops take anything we want from the castle, to help with the tomb.
Sindel - You may.
Kintaro then bows his head and makes his way out of Sindel's castle. Her advisor comes rushing in to the throne room.
Advisor - Why did you let him go to Khan's castle. We know someone has been in there since he was killed.
Sindel - Exactly. When Kintaro finds them he will destroy them for defiling what he thinks is holy ground.
Advisor - Also my queen ... scouts along the shore noticed a huge portal growing in the ocean.
Sindel - How big?
Advisor - They say big enough to fit at least 3 castles through ... and it is still growing.
Kintaro and a dozen troops make their way into Khan's castle. Kintaro sniffs the air and looks around from side to side. He slowly walks up to the dead body of Shao Khan still sitting in his throne. Kintaro picks up Khan's crown and sniffs the air again.
Kintaro - Show yourself.
Kano - Settle down it is just me.
Kintaro - Who else is with you I can tell there are more.
Kano - Just me, everyone else is down in the factory. That is probably throwing you off.
Kintaro - Are they ready?
Kano - Almost, we are finishing the last batch right now. Would you like to see them?
Kintaro - I didn't come all this way for a social call.
Kano leads Kintaro down a set of winding stairs down into the bowels of the castle. It opens up into a huge cage that has been turned into a robotics factory. Both Kabal and Kira and supervising several slaves as they are frantically working on the assembly lines. On the far end of the room several thousand Sektor series robots are lined up.
Kano - Your new army old man. With these and your normal troops you should have no problem with whoever you are going against.
Kintaro - Are they opperational?
Kano - Yes. Watch this. Kabal, activate a bot and send him this way.
The Sektor gets powered up and marches over to where Kano and Kintaro are standing.
Sektor - Orders sir.
Kano - See that man over there near the wall.
Sektor - Affirmative.
Kano - Dispose of him.
Sektor dashes off towards the slave. He bashes his head into the wall a few times. As the slave starts to get back to his feet Sektor kicks him in the stomach to double him over. He then elbows him in the back of the neck sending the slave to the ground. Sektor then pulls out an energy sword and drives it through the slave. Not statisfied he picks the dead slave back up and snaps his neck. Sektor then returns to Kano.
Sektor - Orders sir.
Kano - Go recharge.
Sektor - Yes sir.
Kintaro - I am impressed Kano. You will then lead a squad of these with me.
Kano - Where exactly are you planning on going?
Kintaro - There is a huge portal in the ocean. I sent a scout ship through, and it came back to tell it leads to Earth Realm. That is going to be mine.
Kano - You have yourself a deal. Earth Realm will be ours.
