(Not so) Secret Santa's been here!

I got this package from megan29  in the mail a while ago, and had planned on waiting until Christmas with opening it.  The package had other ideas, though.  It had been squeezed just so, so that the tape had burst, and when I was a bit abrupt in my moving it to clean the table where it lay - it spilled it's contents.  And as there was no additional wrapping I suddenly stared at my gift.  *grin*  Which was a wonderful surprise.  I got an embossed leather journal cover, and in the journal Megan has written me a story with Rose, who's a bit miffed I haven't remembered to bring her to the last parties.  Oops!  *is embarrassed*  I will have to do better, that's for sure - but to my defense, I haven't really been mentally connected to the parties this fall.  That's about to change...  So - I forgot to take a pic of Megan's portrait of Rose, which is absolutely charming, I will do that later on.
Now, this piece of Italian embossed leather wasn't the only thing in the package, there was also a CD with Rumanian folk songs, some of them played by Gheorghe Zamfir, my pan flute hero from my early teens.  Wheee!  Way cool, I had no idea he was Rumanian, but he obviously is.  And I just love folk songs, so this was absolutely great.  Really upbeat stuff.  :-)










Thanks a bunch, Megan, I'll be able to enjoy these for years to come.  Wonderful.  :-)

Oh, and as a PS - my Secret Santa gift is sent off, though I sent it with the idea that it should arrive for Christmas, not 1. December...
