Today was not such a good day. Rick came home from work early and informed me that he has been placed on a 5 day suspension. That's 5 days of NO pay. I can't even begin to tell you how much this is going to hurt us

Wow, Angie, that's just messed up. That happened to Michael at a previous job, too, and he was a project manager. They gripe about the budget, get rid of all the experienced people who do the work, then hire people with no experience for less money who F**K up the job. Hang tight. I hope it gets better. ****HUGS****
Aww..hon I am so sorry. Im sure you read from my post we just had the same thing happen. My husband was fired after 15 years of service. (We of course will challenge this b/c hes so close to being able to retire) Anyway, I think it sounnds like the same bullshit! Our men are making good money, I guess they want to cut those guys loose so they can save a buck! Fuckers! I hope yours works out well and that he isnt terminated, and it isjust a suspension....Good luck......T
Right now, it is just a suspension, but this was a sign for sure. Rick is already busy looking for a new job. He should have no problem finding one, but our main concern is whether he'll be able to get a comparable salary.
My hubby is also a higher paid employee. I was too, before I quit. Our company would like to get rid of all the "old timers" that make good money, and hire all new people for alot less. I had 19 years with the co. and my hubby has 15. They fail to realize that the "old timers", so to speak, are the back bones of the co. They hire new people all the time, and they quit, because the pay is so bad now.
I can empathize with you. I hope things get better soon.

There has to be something you can do? Go to Corporate? Go up the food chain past these guys? Something, surely? :( So sorry, love.
