Roadblocks Of Life
Today was not such a good day. Rick came home from work early and informed me that he has been placed on a 5 day suspension. That's 5 days of NO pay. I can't even begin to tell you how much this is going to hurt us.
I must say, his direct supervisor has increasingly become one of the biggest nit-picking assholes that I have ever met. There are so much company politics going on here I can't really explain them all. Suffice it to say, Rick is one of the highest hourly paid employees in his shop and they have been increasingly trying to make his work life miserable. His pay puts a dent in their budget, and they obviously don't like it, and have been unnecessarily harassing him for quite a while now regarding his work performance among other things, so it makes sense that they want him gone.
I wish I could go into details about this ordeal, but I suspect it might get even uglier. When your boss tells you "I'll see you in six days, and then we'll discuss your future with this company", that doesn't leave much hope.
