(no subject)
I've been in Italy for a whole week ... We just left Chianti and have arrived in Milan. Chianti was great, good food and great weather.
I was sick with Migraine the last few days, but am overcoming it and ready for Milan. We will stay a few days in Milan, then move south to Rome. We fly back to the States on Friday the 29th.
It's been a great vacation. The countryside is fabulous in Chianti. We've been enjoying fabulous wine - although I've been liquor-free for a few days - and cute little towns.
We visited Siena yesterday, and was able to see the Duomo. It looked like one of the duomos that I studied a year or so back at Evergreen. I'll have to dig out my text book and check.
We saw Florence at the beginning of last week. Just wandered around and enjoyed the view. Only a few hours, so we didn't stay too long - no museums or anything like that.
Now? Now I'm waiting for Ty's parents to get back from dropping off the rental car ... then Ty & I will venture out to find a hotel of our own and then enjoy Milan.
