The Amalekite vs Mustafa Kemal Atatürk part 1

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you/
Without a strong rhyme to step to...

I make no apologies for the past two month intermission as the only news that gets published is that which is fit to print, of which there was none. But now there is and this is it: I'm off. On a plane. To Istanbul. For a week.

As I'm sure you're all aware, Istanbul is the capital of the Byzantine Empire or-if y'wanna be all politically correct about it-Turkey (at least until Atatürk went and moved it to Ankara, the ponce), and I selected it out of a list of potential places I might wish to visit before I hit twenty-two. The city is well regarded for its stunning locations, immortal architecture and the hospitality of its people. Incidentally, I've nicked my mother's digital camera so there'll be pics of all of this or it didn't happen.

Whilst I've never traveled alone in a foreign country before now, everyone I've spoken to has told me that as long as I stay calm, try to enjoy myself and don't mention the Armenian genocide poke my nose into other peoples' business, I'll be A-Okay.

In other news: tomorrow's the first Saturday I've had off work in HALF A YEAR and I'm gonna spend most of it racing around a fucking airport. NO JUSTICE FOR THE RIGHTEOUS MAN.
