WELCOME TO GOVT EMPLOYEE
Well our switch over officially started 1 Oct. I out processed my old job, and started fresh on Friday.
No more uniforms, sucks now i have to get stuff. i lost a few employees to better jobs and section separation. I do have access as i need to, but i went from 9 to 4.
I have alot of doubts how things will work out. I also moved to the 2nd floor of bldg. Got 3 day shift folks and 1 night shift guy.
I really feel the strain building, I am trying not to but I foresee issues and problems. Alot of work and less trained folks and lazy ones at that.
I had issues with one Friday, after we in processed we came back and met with new boss. Got that done and went back to our offices to continue moving and one had to go get a base pass. So we went down and the other shop was still in a meeting. WE finally said enough, went to lunch.
Now from the end of our meeting till we decided to do lunch was an HOUR. During that time i didn't get a call or anything from anyone including the guy in ? .
WE head out to lunch and about 30 min into lunch I get a call asking where are you? I said lunch. He seems mad, he goes you guys jsut left. i said we sat there an hour after the meeting and figured you got stuck at pass and id getting your pass. He was getting attitude. He goes what are we doing, I said well we can get back and move more stuff and get things situated. HE was still giving bad vibes and i said we'll be back in 30.
We got back and he was being an ass. Now grated we waited an hour, he saw it was near 11 and didn't call till 1130. He was moving stuff i said hang on I'll add it to the pile and we'll take it up stairs. HE goes I got this, seems I'm by myself anyway. I really felt that was quite unnecessary. I didn't nor did anyone else do anything to be treated in this way.
I offered to help move his stuff upstairs, allow him to use my 2nd monitor till we got another LCD for his desk and I gave him the bigger of the desks.
He was still being an ass when he left, this from someone who preaches good and true faith. It really stuns me.
I certainly hope this attitude changes for Monday, cause i really can't afford to have this issue brew.
