My son was booted out back in Jul, well he kinda saw writing on the wall and moved himself out. So far he has almost been arrested, and almost broke his wrist. Rumor has it, he has gone thru 3 girlfriends and 5 houses so far. i am not quite sure where he is, or what he is doing.
He never did get that understanding you need education, job and a place to call home. I guess he never will @ this rate.
My time with ITT System is only a few days away, my contract ends 30 Sep 10, and i start 1 oct 10 as a WG-11, which is about 3 bucks an hour less than what i make now, not counting the cash i never really saw, so for me it's a pay cut BUTTTTT it's a job though and federal service. So i get 13 holidays and 13 pd days off and i think 13 days sick accrued over the year. So i think with the cost savings from union dues and medical i think I'll be breaking about even.
So the other changes are: I went from 9 folks to 4. I move upstairs from down, all my stuff is in another building, but since my coworkers staying in the other section they loose one guy, and gain 2 more. I am not really happy. My #2 person is going away, and I am left with 2 folks who have no clue as to how to do things. They have been co-workers for 10 years and still can't do the job. Then due to my manning cut, i get major screwed, i have huge assets that require 6 people @ times to do work.
I am not looking forward to this at all, and i feel failure coming do to many issues.
So anyway, I'll take it day by day and alot of drugs and gym time...
I may reconsider that job in Kuwait City, i got a contact over there now, so i may explore that option.
