NEW TOYS - JOB UDATES
Well I was supposed to get a Apple TV for my Bday, but funds were not there and I said take care of kids first. Then Christmas came and again take care of kids first. So finally after some time I just went and got it myself =) kewl toy.
So then The make up for Christmas was floating and I have been wanting one of these pocket camcorders, the one you hear about most is the FLIP. I did some research, I don't like junk and i got the Kodak Zi8 which does 1080P HD and several layers below that. HELL YEAH! I been wanting to start video and pod casting some of my work and stupid stuff to learn something new.
I have my Mac Mini, and soon i hope a MAC Book pro, yes I have gone apple mad but it's so damn easy and the crap never crashes, my mac mini has been running since day one and no OOOOPS blue screens of death "BSOD".
So my job is still pending, we are to shutdown sep 30th from my current 10 yr job. It is going civil service and we are on edge. Alot of information and mis information is floating about. I have hear that the Tech slots will be $21 an hour and go as high as $24 hr. That is a 5000 yr pay cut, not so bad you say, others i work with will drop approx 14K because they have other benefits I don't get.
The other part is getting the job, it's not as easy though it should be to walk out one day and walk back in the next. So anyway, X your fingers and I also found out they will have a Supervisor slot for my old section which will give some pay benefit, so all is not lost!
