Dear colleges:
I understand that you're proud of your web design. I imagine you paid quite a lot for it. (Although given that at least one webmaster saw fit to express his undying affection for the combination of lavender and stop-sign red, perhaps not.) However, if you could tear yourself away from the artistically arranged photos of the scenery and complementary models, as well as from their close friends the glowing recommendations from alumni, all I'd really like is statistics. SAT scores would be lovely. Admissions rates would be splendid. If you could find it in your heart to tell me how good your biology and language programs are, I would love you forever.
(I'm not holding my breath.)
