Hey baby we got something to sing about
It might be bad luck to feel so calm and pleased and happy and thrilled, when it's still 18 hours or so until we likely know for sure that we REALLY have something to celebrate. But I'm going to start right now.
I'm going to lay down the stress and just, be, happy.
Yeah, there are other things I'm quite invested in that are close on the ballot tomorrow. But there is such a wave of hope, with all the world on our side this time--all the result of America choosing to resoundingly reject the hellishness of the last eight years. And we are going to do it.
(If I'm wrong, I'll need comfort, so no harsh words ;)

Happy election everyone. I plan to join some parties around town. I will still be worried about some of our local issues, and still be watching closely what happens to prop 8 in California. I'll reserve some emotion for those things. Some real emotion. But, man, I'm not going to let anyone stop the song from coming, if we do truly win the big one.
