Health care reform and my toothache
I've a massive toothache in a tooth I had filled two weeks ago.
Said toothache is consuming most of my attention--though I've been distracted by watching the last four episodes of this season's Project Runway (however can people work so fast and come up with such brilliant designs!). Yes, my time is being well-spent.
We have four more days in our state legislative session. Last Friday, right at the deadline to get new bills passed, the small business health care bill I've been helping lobby for by organizing the businesses where I work, passed through the Senate. It had already passed the House. The House also voted to fund it, but the Senate has not yet done so. Four more days of trying to convince them to do so.
If they do it, we are awesomely one step further towards getting affordable, quality, health care for everyone in our state.
But right now. Toothache. Back to mindless TV with my daughter, while I try to forget. Dentist. Tomorrow.
