Well actually it's half past eight to five ;) Wednesday was my first workday at
Intramed. The first few days have been a pleasant experience. The colleagues are a nice bunch of people and the atmosphere is relaxed. First thing I need to do is get acquainted with the software (Intramed sells software for therapists). I also have to learn about all the rules, procedures and protocols that our customers have to deal with in their profession, because those are also an integral part of Intramed. For now I'm reading the help-manual and listening in on customer calls. I'm gonna try and get someone to train me though, since that provides a much more efficient way of learning.
Lunchtime is always a good time, but it's even better at Intramed because it's free ^_^ And we can enjoy lunch in our own grand-cafe with its own bar! The bar even has a beertap, the benefit of which I noticed when I was offered a nice cool beer at the end of the workday on Friday :) One thing about the new job is not so great though: the commuting. I travel by train and bus, which takes me an hour and a half one way. So I'm trying to get a place to life near my work. Shouldn't take more than six months to get one I think, since the housing system in Waddinxveen works in my favor. I'll just have to wait for something nice and affordable. For now I've applied for two houses. Should hear more about that this week.
