All right, so I decided to get a LiveJournal. Sad, I know, but hey, it's actually a good thing! I wanted to get it so I could tell everyone about my wonderful friends! The only problem is, I don't really know how to work this site...Laury, Meagan, help!
So yeah, it's Friday, classes are done for winter quarter! Thank god! Winter quarter absolutely sucked! I am so glad it is over. I completely got screwed over in my comparative politics class. The prof (if you can call him that) isn't even a professor yet. He's a doctoral student and this is his first real class that he is teaching (or at least that's what we've heard). Therefore, it means it's the first time he's written a midterm and a final, so of course they were incredibly hard! Argh! And, we had a paper due that was 20% of our grade and guess what it was about? We had to create an entirely new government for Iraq. You know, because no one else can figure it out, so let's ask a bunch of college students what to do!
Oh well, one more week and I am completely done with my classes! Plus, next quarter is going to rock! I am taking ALL music classes, including a writing link to music history. It is going to be so awesome! Plus, I have almost all my classes with the Graham crackers (aka Alysa and Grant, they are from Graham, haha!). My mom actually used to call Court, me and Jake: Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo, but actually, I think that description fits Lys, me and Grant better! Yes, I know, I am REALLY cool!
Most people are looking forward to spring break, but I don't know if I am, just because I'll be home some of the time. Oh well, I'm keeping REALLY busy so I don't have to think about crap- I mean, spring break is supposed to be fun, right?! So right after finals, I'm heading down to Graham to chill with the crackers and we are gonna have a jam party too. Then when I come back, I think Bri and I are going to go skiing and maybe Tina and I and some other people will go down to Portland to see Farah. Then the second weekend of spring break I am going to Las Vegas with my mum for my grandma's 80th birthday. You know, Hawaii, Vegas, holler! No one? Okay! :) Then I get back on Sunday, right in time to start school. It's kind of a bummer I'm getting back on Sunday though because my flute coach from Cascade Youth is being featured with the Washington Wind Symphony and I really wanted to go, but oh well. If I wasn't going to Vegas, I probably would have been going down to Redlands to see Courtney! It would be the last week of pledging so there would be some fun parties, but that would have been really intense too, so maybe it's better I'm not going, haha! Also, cause Redlands is so close to San Diego, Abby said she would not allow me to be so close to her without seeing her, so I'm kind of bummed that I'm not going, cause now I don't get to see her till April.
Speaking of Abby, we found out yesterday that she is going to have a girl! I am soooo excited! We can dress her up and play with her and it will be so wonderful! Plus, of course, I will have to pick an instrument for her to play. I picked trombone and possibly trumpet for my Brock when he was really young. I would love for her to play flute, but my cousin is going to play flute as well, so I could giver her clarinet or something, we'll have to see! :) Band nerd holler!
Last night I hung out with Kayla, Emi and Andy for a little while and then went back to my room about 1. Then I decided I was thirsty adn I went to get a drink downstairs and found Nick and Cassie. We ended up having girl talk for like 2 hours, it was so fun! Well, Cassie and I talked and Nick would throw in comments every once in a while.
All right, time to go finish my laundry. Everyone is studying tonight for finals, but I don't have the materials/need to start studying yet. I mean, ideally, yeah I probably should, but eh, whatever!
