This past weekend was my dad's birthday, so we invited him on a visit to celebrate. He arrived Friday night by dinner time, and I had made some barbecue chicken, quinoa, sautéed mushrooms and steamed vegetables. Then I had to do my evening work assignments. Dad watched some TV downstairs and socialized with The Gryphon once he came home.

Wow, sounds like a good time.

I think I would like to make cardboard cutouts of myself, bring them to events like this, and leave them there.

I wonder if strangers would take their picture next to me. :)

It was a good time. It helped that my husband and I actually had a goal in mind: to find ourselves a four-door car with good storage space.

People would definitely take pictures of themselves next to you if you brought it around. It's human nature or something. I didn't even recognize Merrill Reese until we read the base of the cutout.

BTW, he's either a really short guy or that cutout wasn't to scale, because I'm only 5'5".

I heard only good things about that auto show. I think it's funny that the cut-out worked out to be a public showcase.
