I am very lucky to have met my housemate Jacopo through the polyamore italia facebook page. He searched two months for a good apartment for us and had everything set up when I arrived.
Our apartment is very old but pretty good, and cheap, for Milan. We both have our own bathrooms and very large bedrooms. The whole place is decorated with traditional Italian... stuff. Antiques and the like. The very traditional and catholic house lords live across the hallway.
Jacopo has enthusiastically helped me out during this first week. He wouldn't let me buy any groceries for the first few days and even bought me a cheap Italian phone. He has given me countless tid-bits of information. If only I could get him to speak Italian more often.
Jacopo loves weapons, boasting his own significant collection, live role playing games, cosplay, fencing and history. In his role play guild, when someone does something stupid, they say it is a "jason", which is his characters name. He works in IT. Does all this sound familiar to some of you? Jacopo is basically an Italian-death-metal-loving version of Olli!
He has a 19 yo (stunning) girlfriend here in Milan and another girlfriend (trans woman) in another city. I'm hoping he doesn't develop a crush on me.
Hooray for queerness. Not everything here sucks :)
jacopo,
italy
