Okay, so I'm back to update about the rest of my my trip to New York....
One day while I was there I was able to visit the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Wall Street and Chinatown.
The Statue of Liberty is absolutely amazing...I was in complete shock to actually see it....you don't realize how big it is till you're actually looking up at it. After that I saw Ground Zero...it's so weird because you'll be walking down the busy streets of New York looking up at these massive office buildings...and all of a sudden...there's nothing there. When I first saw it my heart just stopped and I had goose bumps all over my body and I started to cry...it's absolutely breathtaking...but of course in a bad way. All around Ground Zero they have this metal fence with these bill boards on it that have a Timeline of the actual events of that day. I think that if you don't cry when you see Ground Zero you don't have a heart and are not truly an American. When I get a chance I'll post pic's up so everyone can see. Anyways...after that I saw Wall Street which was pretty cool...lots and lots of people in business suits. Then after that we ventured off to Chinatown which was hillarious...I was able to get a Louis Vuitton wallet that I have been dying for. lol
That's bascially all i did in New York then my parents rented a car and we all ventured off to Niagra Falls...that drive was a royal pain in the beep. We had to spend a night in Ithaca New York and I'm thinking it's going to be really cool college town because of Ithaca and Cornell University...but I totally forgot that it's Summer...so the town was really weird...like a ghost town and the only hotel they had was a Holiday Inn with one room left which was a smoking room...so that night sucked. But we finally made it to Niagra Falls the next day...it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Very tourist-y!
After Niagra Falls we came back to New York and stayed near the airport and we were able to drive to the Hamptons which is basically where the rich of the rich live....so you can imagine what that was like. And then...we flew back home and here I am.
I am so happy to be home...it was a very long vacation to be spent with my parents and I missed everyone.
I'm giong to go for now but i'll be back later! Toodles!
