Post LFC Visit

I really liked LFC, which is a great relief. The students aren't as "crunchy" as Grinnellians, but they care abt each other, and the administration seems to really care about the students, not about trying to lure in perspectives. the transfer admissions lady was really excited about the idea of sight, and About starting a group on campus. I'm looking forward to next semester. There's soooo many research and internship opportunities, and they have a chicago center that gives away free arts/music/theatre tickets for stuff in the city which is awesome!!! Everyone in my family seems to support the idea, but my dad is still on U of C, but he'll have to get over it. Dr. O definitely said she would not feel comfortable treating me from IA, and that's the defining step in deciding for sure that I'm not going to Grinnell.

I talked to my Soc. professor and I think if I work really hard I could get a B in the class, but I don't know for sure. Currently I'm failing 1/3 of my grad, and have a d in the other 1/3, And I got a B+ on the other 1/3. But I still have 4 weeks left, and a chance to bring the f and d to a c- and B-. I just need to maintain a 3.5 GPA which is 3 as 2 bs, but 10,000 in scholarship money is worth it definitely.
