A boy the same age as Soul, who grew up alongside the sisters. Platinum treats him like a younger brother. Not that she sees him much, having moved away. He writes, though.

Her first friend from Sinnoh, Pearl is exuberant and hyper, and he wears anyone around him out. Which, is why she adores him; it's hard to be down around Pearl.
DIAMOND ♂

Part two in the Sinnoh Duo, Diamond's friendship is also cherished, though for different reasons. While Pearl is constantly bouncing around, Diamond is steadfast and stable, something that Platinum appreciates.

A gym leader who explained to Platinum where she was. He's easy-going and a pleasure to talk to. Him offering her his gym to sleep in whenever she wanted was kind, too. She's also learned that he doesn't get frightened of Pokemon easily. She must study his techniques. A friend.
GREEN OAK ♂

Another gym leader; Platinum fought him and lost. His snarky comments tend to bring out the smart-ass in her, though she doesn't really mind him. However, she is going to kick his ass one day. Both literally and figuratively. I am not even kidding.
KRIS ♀
♦ RANK: SIX
The Johto Champion who owns a Lugia. It was stolen. For some reason, she reminds Platinum of her sister, Soul (even if Soul talks constantly), and that brings out a sense of familiarity with Kris that makes Platinum not mind spending time with her. Oh, and Team Rocket must die.
Notes:
+Everyone that Platinum likes automatically starts out as platonic. She will not consider anyone as a romantic partner/crush/whatever until they express interest in being so. That's just how she rolls.
+While Platinum decides rather quickly rather she likes or dislikes someone, once she does so they will gain ranks far slower as they progress toward either hate or love.
