Blaine was still in a bit of a daze after the events of the past week. It probably had something to do with the fact he got thumped in the face and had a minor concussion for a few days, but even beyond that, it was hard to wrap his head around. He had been so apprehensive about the prom, and although he was so fucking proud of Kurt for facing what he did, it seemed his fears were well founded, unfortunately. And it was only late last night, just as Blaine was about to doze off with an early night in his solitary dorm room (his room mate had gotten expelled for smoking in the toilets a couple of weeks ago) that there was a knock at the door and he opened it to find Kurt standing there, suitcase in one hand and coathangered blazer the other telling Blaine he had transferred back to Dalton... and for good this time. He was washing his hands of McKinley's bullying and homophobia, and coming back to Dalton with its zero tolerance policy and where he could be with Blaine ( ... )

Puck stood, dressed in a navy blue and red blazer, tie decidedly looser than standard uniform, and mohawk freshly shaven off. He wasn't in the best of moods after the whole head shaving ordeal, but still... Getting to be in school with his newfound BFF, Blaine, was going to help, at least a little bit.

He smirked, arms crossed over his chest as he nudged Mike. "Well, what have we here? Seems to me these two dudes look real familiar to me, but I just can't place 'em." His smirk turned to an amused grin as he playfully nudged Blaine's foot with his own. "They told me Blaine Anderson was gonna be my roomie, so I figured I should meet him before I move all my shit into his room. One of you Blaine Anderson?"

His grin only widening, he lapsed out of his "I don't know this guy" attitude, and reached out for Blaine's hand to help him up. "Dude! I'm your fuckin' roomie!"

Mike had been running up behind Puck as he tried to reading through the extremely glossy Dalton brochures that read a lot like travel brochures inviting them to a new amazing world. The map on the inside of the cover was awesome, and Mike was still sure this had to be an offshoot of Hogwarts on some level. It was brilliant, even if everyone looked the same in the blazers, it was way cool putting one on. It made you feel awesome and important ( ... )

Blaine had scrambled up onto his elbows, and was now squinting in the sunlight to get a better look at the two familiar guys standing near the edge of his blanket. He blinked, not really processing what the hell was going on here, and then glanced at Kurt to see if he did, but Kurt was just staring at Mike and Puck with his mouth hanging open, having rolled back onto his side. Puck and Mike were standing there in Dalton blazers and matching Kurt and Blaine... no wait. Not just blazers, the whole uniform.

He went to say something, but no words came out at first and floundered like a fish out of water for a few moments, mouth opening and closing without any sort of words forming and exiting his lips. "Y-You what... he what... I'm what...?" he finally squeaked, shocked. Were they really saying what he thought they were saying?!

It was true, Kurt was just sort of gaping at Puck and Blaine standing there looking downright weird in Dalton uniforms. It was only until Blaine spoke - or tried to speak - though, and the he not-so-discreetly put his hand over Blaine's mouth because his attempts at stringing a sentence together was total fail. It was totally adorable, but Kurt needed to try and think without getting distracted. But a first point of order was needed here...

"They're letting you and Blaine share a room?!" he cried. Nothing good could come from that, right? Puck and Blaine had hit it off as good friends, somehow, some way that Kurt would never really understood, but they got into mischief together and now this could only be asking for trouble. "Are you seriously telling us you guys have transferred here?! To Dalton?! But... but, why?"

The amused smirk returned, and Puck watched as Blaine fumbled for words, only to be followed by Kurt, who was having no trouble saying what he needed to say.

"Yeah!" Puck exclaimed with excitement, even as he ran his hand over head head and felt a moment of sadness for the loss of his mohawk. Giving Mike a grin, Puck turned his gaze back to Kurt. "Well... Mike's here cuz he wants to go here. I'm here because... Well... Um... Let's just say it beats the hell out of juvie, an I don't think anybody here's gonna rip my nipple ring out."

Mike gave Puck a small shove in the arm. "Dude, it's just hair. You didn't shave the Dead Sea Scrolls off your head. It'll grow back. It looks better like this." But he turned back to look down at Kurt and Blaine, flashing them a grin. "Surprise? My dad's been trying to get me to Dalton for ages, and after what happened at prom, it seemed like a good enough time to considering it. Especially when you wanted to come back, Kurt. I figured it must be okay. Puck just wanted to come because he was going to miss me so badly," he joked, smirking.

But he had to laugh at the looks of Kurt and Blaine's faces. "Come on. It's not so bad here, right? I swear, we won't make a habit of interrupting you guys making out, but we wanted to tell you straight away." He hitched his bag over his shoulder. "Seriously, though. This Ethan dude. He's not going to suffocate me in my sleep with one of of my pillows, is he? I've never stayed in a dorm before."

"N-No," Blaine stammered, still shocked in the ass to see Puck and Mike standing there with Dalton uniforms. Wow, had the dynamic suddenly changed. He wasn't surprised when Kurt made the choice to come back, not really, but to have some of his friends follow? It was awesome and strange all at the same time. "I mean, he's our beatboxing Warbler. Tall dude, blond. He's also Dalton's quarterback, so if you guys are wanting on the football team, I wouldn't eye the QB position. He's bigger than both of you..." So, now maybe he was going to ramble instead of be at a loss for words.

He shook his head in disbelief. "Are you sure? I mean, it's a really big change from McKinley. Even Kurt was sure about it the first time..." he said, wanting to make sure they weren't going to regret the choice.

Kurt was nodding in agreement as he looked over Blaine's face while he spoke. Those bruises and the sutures on his temple. His gut still clenched looking at them. He should never have asked Blaine to prom at McKinley, even if they were closer than ever because of it now. And he did get to slow dance with his boyfriend, which was even more special. But still, seeing Blaine's face made him feel bad, but in no way regretting his choice to return to Dalton. It hadn't been part of his game plan, but now the plan had just changed, and for the better, as far as he was concerned ( ... )

With a sure smile, Puck nodded. "I'm sure, dude. I mean, I didn't really wanna leave McKinley, but... Well, it's a long story... One that might take a while, too."

"Aww, Kurt," he joked, slinging his arm around Mike's shoulders with a facial expression that was some weird, playful, mocking imitation of touched. "You know me so well, dude... Wanting me to make friends with others of my kind." He snorted, quickly losing the straight face. "You don't have to be big," Puck offered as an afterthought. "I mean, as a QB... As long as you can throw and run like a motherfucker, it's okay being small." He shrugged. "Not that I've ever had that problem anyway... Your team got a running back and a wide receiver yet?"

Mike gave a small, sheepish shrug. "Well, you never know. This place looks like it could be from a way cool movie set or something. It could be some dapper ruse for some horror movie setting, you know." He self-consciously tugged a little on his tie, making sure it was straight as he tried for a covert glance around the grounds at the rest of the students milling around. Everyone looked so neat and pristine. He didn't want to be the odd one out ( ... )

Blaine stifled a small smirk, watching Mike as he clearly felt self-conscious, but trying to hide it. "I know this place seems stuffy and like we all get around with sticks up our asses and silver spoons in our mouths, but I swear, it's not like that. We're all just average teenage dudes. I mean, sure, some guys here are from wealthy backgrounds and some are snobs, but don't all school have people like that? The guys are great, you'll love them. Especially the Warblers. Boarding school is... different. It'll take you guys some getting used to, but people will help out. You jut have to ask. Hell, I can't believe you guys have transferred. It's surreal ( ... )

Wow. Puck and Mike in the Warblers? It seemed... weird. Totally weird. And Kurt was sure he needed to pinch himself to make sure this was really happening. "Are you guys just here during the week? Some students are from out of state, so they're here all the time, but Blaine and me go home on weekends. He's right though. I was always made to feel welcome here. Everyone is very helpful and very friendly ( ... )

Puck didn't even bother with his own tie, hanging tied, but loose around his neck. This place looked crazy boring, but Puck knew better from his friendship with Blaine. Anyone like Blaine couldn't have survived if it was all work and no play, that was for sure.

"Do we have to... like, wear the uniform all the time?" Puck asked. "I kept waiting for them to hand me pajamas with a blazer or something." He could feel Blaine's questioning gaze, and refused to turn to look at him. He didn't want to answer those questions just yet. He wasn't ready to tell anyone what a prick he'd been at school and how he'd ended up at Dalton.

"I want to see the dorms. Are they like in Dead Poets Society? That's such a cool movie and this place is totally like that, right? I keep waiting for Robin Williams to jump out and jump up onto a table with life affirmations to get me through puberty," Mike said with an eager grin. "Can we see the dorms, or are they only open at a certain time of day? Come on guys, fill us in ( ... )

Kurt sat up properly then and stood up, brushing off his pants and then holding his hands out to Blaine to help him up too. He was smirking in amusement to himself at Mike's mixture of enthusiasm about Dalton, but also the obvious hesitancy and anxiety about the new world. "That's because McKinley is full of homophobic assholes who are just sheep and think it's cool to copy the tough guys in their hate. Neither of us wanted to fuel the fire, but it didn't matter. They were out to cause us pain, and they succeeded." Once Blaine was up beside him, he turned his boyfriend's face towards their friends and pointed to the sutures. "If only they just stuck to slurs about homos and fags. Dalton is nothing like McKinley, and this is just one of many ways. No one is judging on PDA, whether you're gay, straight or in between. It's nice to feel normal ( ... )
