Talk Shows don't seem to work
Okay, so i really don't like dr. phil. i find the guy to be, urgh, i don't know the word, not authentic? i was watching him on tv and i got the feeling that he didn't give a rat ass about the people that he's trying to "help" i mean the episode that i watched involved a pretty deep problem. you got this mother that wanted a relationship with her daughter but in denial about the fact that her husband molested her. in complete denial. something that i thought shouldn't be broadcasting this on television, first off.
so, im watching this episode and dr. phil...isn't helping the situation. i mean, he's on the daughter's side, when he should, in my opinion, be neutral. he's yelling at the mother to open her eyes when obviously the women needs private one on one time. to me, she's just as fragile as her daughter has issues that need to be dealt with. but that's not what dr. phill is about. nothing was resolved of course and and the end of it, it seemed like he was just exploiting the situation.

dr. phil reminds me of oprah. i think oprah is a great woman, she's done a lot of great things but sometimes it feels like she doesn't care about the full situation some of her guest are in.
