The Joint

So yesterday was Thrusday, and it must have been the craziest Thursday in my life. Of all days...nothing ever happens on Thursday. Except this one. It was such an amazing day, and a seriously life-changing day. But not in a bad way, trust me when I tell you. I'm fine, and I will be. It was an early-release day, and we took the city bus to the Pembroke Lakes mall. Met up with Reza, then later Lee, Sean, and Valeria. We basically hung around, ate shit. I wish we played more hackeysack. The highlight of the day was dancing to RHCP on the roof of the parking garage, it was so blissful. Then later on is what made the day unforgettable, but yeah, let's not talk about that.

Last night I fell asleep listening to Rush, and dreamt about watching the Postal Service live, even though they have never played a live show in their existance. Fernando and Reza were the only ones I remember being there. But they were watching the concert and I was stuck outside, only hearing the band play, not watching. (I heard them perfectly and knew all the words and everything), and then got in halfway through, without paying. But this devious guy distracted me from seeing the band, because he asked me to do him this favor in another launguage. I partially understood him, so I went about it. I ordered this rare, unheard of fish embryo on the phone, and it got at the concert almost instanteneously. This fish embryo trigged my memory, and I had handled and raised one of the exact same thing in another dream (but in the dreams it felt as if it was a previous day, but yeah, you get it.) I grew it to life, and knowing this guy didn't understand how rare this was, and I planned to keep it for myself, because he was gone, I don't know why. I never got to see the concert, because by this time it was over. Why did I do it?

So today was a fine day, I made an instrumental dub/reggae/indie mix for my art class, and the teacher lets me play it whenever I want, and the class loves it. It makes me feel so good when I can listen to music and work at the same time, let alone knowing everyone in the room (as far as I know) are enjoying the music, too.

The only good reggae station on XM radio is called "The Joint." How stereotypical is that? That just furthers the "reggae and marijuanna" stereotype, that they always go hand in hand, and if one person endulges in one of those activities they MUST in the other, too. It's really fuckin' stupid. Also, I'm having a real reggae-phase of music taste lately.

dreams, friends
