Warsaw. Again

On February 14th, I visited Warsaw again to watch a play called "Victoria. True woman show". It was about a show where women competed for the title of the "true superwoman", and it summed up all modern unrealistic expectations for women. It was very funny sometimes, and got more serious towards the end. Of course, the overall message was that a perfect superwoman doesn't exist and we shouldn't let ourselves get caught in a pointless competition. It's not new, but it's still relevant.

My second row ticket (bought with a discount for a single person - make your weakness your strength?) was very close to the scene, but I was jelaus about pepple in the first row because Krzysztof Szczepaniak, the actor I went to see, talked to them few times. Still, I enjoyed the play.

This is Keret House, one of the narrowest houses in the world. It was built in a gap between two blocks and it's about 1.5 meter wide in its widest point, and under 1 meter in its narrowest point. It's a fully equipped house, with a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom, and was built for Etgar Keret whose family lived in the Warsaw Ghetto. I've read that you can pay to go and see the inside, but only at some weekends, so I didn't do it.

This sign shows when the wall of the Warsaw Ghetto was. There are few such short pieces in various places in Warsaw and I've seen them before, I just like that you can just unexpectedly see them and go back in history.

There still were lights and Christmas decorations in the Old Town.

And there was the famous "abortion number" where you can call for information and help with, well, abortion. The number got famous after abortion in hospitals was almost completely banned here and I know it by heart despite never having to call it.

I accidentally found another street from Monopoly, a new place with great food (what restaurant in Warsaw doesn't have great food?) and a Lindt shop with even more flavours than my local shop (and I thought they had all of them). And I felt a bit nostalgic.
