I really enjoyed "Eve of the Daleks"! It's a simple, one-location and low-budget story even for a regular Doctor Who episode, no mention a special, but some great Doctor Who stories were cheap and simple, "Midnight" being the number 1. It really works, it's engaging, doesn't have redundant characters and arcs, and you would think[Spoiler (click to open)]time loopswould be something done a thousand times in Doctor Who by now, but actually, they're not! And how many times the Doctor gets[Spoiler (click to open)]exterminated by the Daleks five minutes into episode?I'm not the greatest fan of Nick (there is good weirdo and bad weirdo, and there was something about Nick that wasn't okay), but I enjoyed the overall story. And Dan got to do something important! So the episode was a really good surprise. I'm not sure how many specials we'll get in 2022 and November 2023 is, well, a long wait, but this was, along with the Weeping Angels episode, my favourite episode with Jodie so far. Of course, she's leaving now when she's got good episodes, just like Matt and Peter.
