I just watched Blair Witch 2 with Summer and my brother and now I am too freaked out to go to sleep. Not by the movie, but by my freakin' house. Anytime I watch/hear anything even remotely involving the supernatural, I get a weird feeling in my gut and I get kind of psyched-out. But I am a silly boy.
In other news, Thanksgiving went well this year. No feuds, no burnt foods, no shocking secrets reveled. This year's feast was the first time since my parent's divorce ten years ago that all the family has eaten together at the same meal, except for my Dad who regretably ate dinner with his wife's family. My sister Michelle and her husband Rich hosted the event in honor of EricJames, the little pink bundle of joy whom recently entered the world. In attendence were: Rich's mother, stepfather, Uncle and two friends of their family and their daughter. My mother, brother, Summer, and my other sister Teresa, her three children, her husband Paul, his mother and stepfather, grandmother, sister and her daughter. Also in the house were my cousin Peggy, her husband Sean, and a dear friend of our family, Cindy. To feed an army this big, one must prepare LOTS of food, and Rich did quite well in his effort to create a bountious feast. In all we had: Two turkeys, roast beef, ham, rice pilaf, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, buiscuts, creamed onions, cheese dip, corn, peas, carrots, deviled eggs, chips, soda and a very, VERY delicious punch made by Summer. And for dessert, we had I think nine pies to choose from. Yeah, I was hurting by the end of the day. But it was all wonderful and it was nice to have all of us kids together. Even more special because I hope to spend at least most of Christmas with Summer and her family. Her parents may be coming back north, and I do miss them quite a lot, so I want to be hanging out with them.
So off to sleep for me now. I have a kitten to go keep company.
