SPN Review

I missed the first 15 minutes - I'm so pissed about that. but the immortal doc. Cool, possible magic ill for Dean, but it always comes with a price. I knew right away that it's not one Dean's willing to pay. Cool.

skip to the end - which is the most important part to me anyway. Why? Cuz Bela FINALLY dies. and while I wanted it to be Dean to end her (and in a way he did, arguably) I'm glad for the way it worked out.

Okay, so Bela's dad was a nasty NASTY man. and she had him killed. fine. I honestly thought there'd be abortion issues what with Red Sky At Morning and her seeing the ship, but this is satisfactory as well. Now we know why she stole the colt and why she was such a pain in the ass. But still, Dean's been promising since Fresh Blood to kill that bitch, and I've been waiting for it.

What I"m ec-fucking-static about? That Dean outsmarted her wily ass. Yup. You got the receipt you bitch, but Dean knew it. And figured out what you've been hiding all along. How much do I love the symmetry of her invading their hotel room to kill them and Dean making the call - reminiscent of Jus in Bello, don't you think? Just. Fuckin'. Desserts. And this: "Dean, you've got to help me!" "Oh. We're weeks past that." yes, yes, you are Dean. Then, "See you in hell."

Okay, the commander from 21 Jump Street! Whoot!!!!! Rufus, I mean. I REALLY liked him. Loved him in fact. He needs to be recurring. Another resource for the boys. yes yes. Please? REALLY liked him. Loved the shit eatin' grin he got when Dean held up the whiskey. Loved him with his monosyllabic answers, then gettin' the luds on Bela. *sigh* Yeah. Niiiice work, there, Rufus. And I LOVE what he had to say to Dean. You ain't gonna survive this. Sure, you might beat this one back, but it's this job. It's what we do. It'll get you in the end. Dean's lucky it hasn't already. let's hope the PTB at SPN HQ decides that Rufus is awesomecakes, and deserves to be a part of the nutriously delicious Supernatural meal!

Dean burying the Doctor alive. Liked that. Liked it a lot. We're back to ruthless, black and white Dean of Season 1 and early s2. Sam's back to the vascillation that made him a perfect foil to Dean's ruthlessness and that's nice to see as well. I really thought Sam would be the one to bury the dude, but Dean's the go to guy. Always will be. yeah, there'll be fallout, but he's decision man. Think Jus In Bello. He's the one that said NO to sacrificing the virgin. He led the battle, strategized and what not. And when the chip fell where they did, he took it hard. But he made that decision. Those thirty or more demon possessed people lived. Even though a potential new hunter, a virgin, and at least three other guys died, Sam and Dean did their jobs. So yeah. I like Dean being the HMIC. I like when he makes the decisions. and that monster - no matter what, that's what he'd become - needed to be stopped. Can't kill him? Incapacitate him. Buried alive is pretty fuckin' incapacitated!

Next week? OMG. Awesomeness.

Other news:
Interview is tomorrow. Wish me luck. I've studied up on some questions. Let's just hope these are the ones they ask. Yikes.
