Attack of the Killer Amphibians
Okay. *pants*
So. *gulp* I was sittin' in the bath, mindin' me own business, right? Scrubbin' my scalp and hair, cuz, well, I smelled. Nice hot bath, nice scrubbingbubbles.
Then, out of the overflow drain, this weird looking *thing* pops out. Three toes, kinda slimy lookin'. I swallow, cuz, yeah, I'm like terrifired. It looked alien. Then this oval looking thing slides out next to the leg. OMG! It sort of *turns* somehow and there's this EYE!!! lookin at me.
Now, I'm all, "Oh shit, what the HELL is that??" but all in my head, right? Well, I splashy splashy some water back into the over flow drain, hoping that got rid of it. No.
The little toes are curled over the COVER1!!!! WTF!
So, I run A LOT more water in the tub, forcing some to flow into the overflow drain. And then....nothing. *whew* I wait a few minutes, you know, just to make sure. But dammit, you've seen all the movies. THEY ALWAYS ATTACK WHEN YOU LET YOUR GUARD DOWN!!!
So, after a few minutes of nothing - no weird feet, or *gasp* EYEBALLS! and I'm good to go. I lather up a washcloth and start with my left side, scrubbing my arm and under arm, and under me tahtahs. Then BAM! The beastie BURSTS out of the drainy thing, DIVES into my water - INTO MY EFFIN WATER!!!! - swims toward me with his little lightening fast bursts of speed, cuz froggies have VERY powerful back legs, and CLIMBS OUT OF THE TUB!!! The Wee little beastie CLINGS to the side of the tub, like he's the freakin world record holder for clinging to El Capitan!!! Gah!
So of course I scream like a girl and flail, splashing water everywhere!
What does wee little beastie do? Turns on the corner of the tub, and WATCHES ME. That little nictating lid he has even clicks over his eyes twice. Like he's blinkin' at me goin' " Wha' the 'ell's wrong wit you, ya crazy bugger?"
So I splash him with some water, he jumps down, like 'Alright, alright, I'll go."
And I never saw him again.
And that has been the adventure of my day. How's yours going?
