the ups and downs of the going ons

The past week has been quite full, compared to an average week. With my car here now, i've been gone a lot, though i think this week will be different because i have much work to do.

My sister, Jasmine, was here for a week. her visit further established the difference between my family and I. I really have nothing to talk to them about, and though it was nice thinking that maybe she had a good time instead of sitting home and doing nothing, i could tell that she was bored and didn't really relate to anything that i do.

monday and thursday were rather uninteresting hang outtings with rather uninteresting people

tusday we went to magic mountain with ivan and vannie, which was amusing. much better than going to class. though i lost my phone, and i am still phoneless, and am feeling lost with no connection to the world. *sigh*

wednesday was the decemberists concert. i think that it would have been a lot more fun if i had friends there, but it was great still.

this weekend vannie came home with me for easter. I always feel obligated to make tulare look not-so-bad when showing around people who have never been there before. and this weekend while showing her the inner workings of our wonderful town, i realized that tulare isn't reeeaally that bad, but that statement is also in a certain context. it is only fun if there are people to be with. sitting home definitely is not fun, and there is really nothing to do when you're there by yourself. but when there are friends, being home is great.
it does have its downfalls, of course. vannie's tulare induced asthma attack comes to mind.

Week 2. I just noticed just how much work i need to do, after seeing that the reading for my women's studies class is like 200 pages and i don't even have my reader yet. pfft.

i have to go to santa monica soon. i have money now, maybe i will buy things. weee
