The internet devalues anything it touches....

This is very true.  Unfortunately, I work, and mostly live on the internet.

And although the article doesn't list it, porn is totally devalued.  I remember back in the 90s, you could buy porn websites on CD-rom, and set up your own porn server in days.  Just collect the membership dues, and occasionally buy new content.

But now, you can stream entire porn movies for free!!
Sites like

http://www.redtube.com/

http://www.youporn.com/

http://xhamster.com/  ...just to name a few.  :-P

You can also get college level education online, for free, from places like

http://academicearth.org/

Speaking of earth, you can get a a huge amount of gardening information online as well.
Ecology Action has a "biointinsive" growing plan that is really interesting.  They say that in about 2000 sq ft, you can feed a person, meeting all of their nutritional, and caloric needs. Thats a bed about 45 ft by 45 feet.  Not bad!
And now they have included how-to videos:  http://www.johnjeavons.info/video.html

I like gardening.  I just dont seem to have enough time to do it.  And no... its got nothing to do with those porn movie sites!  :-P

I spend more time commuting than most people do working.  Its a shame really.  I wish I had more time to pursue my other ambitions.   There are so many things that I find interesting, or cool, and I never get a chance to play with.

Like this:
Raspberry Pi  - Its a $25 computer, the size of a creditcard,
Gumstix - Its a computer the size of a stick of gum.

Now... I'm not sure what I would use them for... But you have to admit that they are really fucking cool!

ok... Thats enough links from me.

I have imparted some knowledge on you.  Lets see what you do with it!

work, school, geek, garden, kinda-random
