This week I:
- Completed the "Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly" with kid handprint and footprints for M-I-L. Should have taken a picture before I gave it to her!
- Completed the dress off the online tutorial. I have to say, having a)not sewn in 2 months and b)following a more approximate online tutorial instead of a detailed store-bought pattern (that gave seam allowances, etc), I was not quite as pleased with this one as the last one, but it still looks cute and I will put girly in it tomorrow for church!
- hosted a girls night/bow making party for friends who also have little girls. They mostly stuck to mini-clips/bows, but I knocked out a couple big ones I had been wanting to do, and new corker.
The coming week I will:
- cut out the fabric for the next dress I want to make - back to a pattern, pink and purple contrasting fabrics. I would like to finish sewing before we go on vacation.
- complete the iron-on "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" shirts I've been wanting to do for the kids since I got back from Orlando and decided I could make them cheaper than buying them for $20 a pop at Universal. They'd be cute to keep track of them when we're out at Fernbank or something.
- See if a scrapbooking friend has a paper-cutter I could use to complete the hymn on canvas craft also for M-I-L.
- buy fabric for making myself a purse - I'm starting to think this is a much better idea than dropping the money for a new Vera Bradley.
- purchase materials to make the boy a shirt- he's been asking when I'm going to make something for him!
