(no subject)
Feeling like I have a lot of things half done right now, and would prefer more closure. David's big boy room is done; painted blue by Jill and myself, double bed and dresser delivered today. Firetruck quilt, lightswitch plates and wall decals in place. Now on to the baby's room; we (I) want to paint it purple, Corey will put together the new crib,and put up the classic Pooh decor from David's old room.
Schoolwise, I am trying not to feel bogged down by the row of 5 day weeks we now have thanks to the week off for snow (I know, poor me). We are digging into our festival music, but there are lots of other little random performance opportunities that keep popping up - hey, can you play for this assembly in 2 days, why can't you play at this weekend event - nevermind that you are out of town. That and some of my classes think they are too cool for scales.
My 2 big projects are Violapalooza, which will be next Saturday, 212 viola players from across the county convening to do workshops and eat Chick-fil-A, plus get a sweet alto clef tee shirt. Also, we just chartered a chapter for Tri-M, the HS music honor society, and are having the instillation ceremony next Friday. Since most of my energy has been going to those, there's less time to organize the Disney trip info my kids keep asking for. And spiritwear. And pictures...just feeling pulled in a lot of directions.
