A reminder that Spin Jam is 2nd the 4th thursday of the month, meaning it happens next week!
And here's what you can look forward to next thursday.....

POI WORKSHOP & VIDEO RELEASE PARTY: "The Encyclo-Poi-dia"
Come join us for a one-of-a-kind poi happening. On Thursday, September 28th there will a workshop and a party centered around the new DVD "The Encyclo-Poi-dia: Intermediate and Advanced Poi Technique". The man behind the video, Zan, will be in town and teaching as many people as possible. (For more info on the video, and a sample, go to http://www.instrumentsofthenow.com/pages/instructvid.htm )
The fun starts at 7pm with a two-hour workshop. We'll cover some of the technical information from the video, but in great detail with focus on fine-tuning the movements. We'll move beyond the video into some new variations and patterns using the techniques we learn. Participant interest will decide specifically what topics we work on: Polytiming, the box step, dodging daggers, anti-spun figures, and so much more. A good time is guaranteed.
The workshop, from 7-9pm, is being offered for an unbelievable price. Two hours of instruction for $15 per person. OR the one-time offer of the workshop AND a copy of the DVD "The Encyclo-Poi-dia", all for only $35. Then it time to Party! Starting at 9pm is the video release party. We'll project selected scenes from "The Encyclo-Poi-dia", of both the instructional and entertaining footage it contains. There will be a FREE raffle for a copy of the DVD, and for a FREE 1-on-1 private poi lesson with Zan. Plus, a demo of "poi moves so hard they make your head ache". General merry-making and spin-jamming will ensue.
