I don't know if this is any help, but for your Bento project, this might spark a few more ideas for you:

Apparently it's trendy for fangirls to design their bentos into fanart of sorts. This is really trippy considering how much time and effort they must've put into this, as well as knowing what appetizing foods work for colored shapes and textures. (Good thing dried seaweed is common and works easily for the color black I suppose?)

Unfortunately, I won't make this into a fan piece because it will be a portfolio, so I don't think it would be appropriate. Plus what I'm going to use is photographs of food instead of making it. :D

Yay New York, I freaking love that place to death!! When are you going and how long? Good, no hostel...I don't have to remind you of the horrible hostel experiences that Blue and I had.(cockroaches, wet bed) Anyways I hope you have a fab time, cause I did and I can't wait till I go again!
